Also called the Head Of State & The Commander In Chief Must enforce the laws of Congress In charge of groups like the CIA & Environmental Protection Agency Can sign legislation into laws or veto bills Can negotiate and sign treaties with other countries Is in charge of all the armed forces Must give a State of the Union address to Congress each year
- Substitute if the President gets sick or dies
Is the tie-breaking vote for the Senate
Department of Agriculture- regulates farming and food Department of Education- oversees our schools & makes sure students have what they need Department of Justice- law enforcement (FBI, U.S. Marshals) Department of Labor- help protect employers and people with jobs Department of the Treasury- oversees the U.S.'s money
